Nature Inspired Art
Chris and Bob Wittrock moved to the Adirondack mountains in 2024 to live a simpler life and connect deeply with nature. Chris founded the ADK-Mom n Pop Shop in 2026, so she could combine her lifelong love of embroidery with the natural surroundings of the Adirondacks.
The Nature in Art Collection features embroidery pieces inspired by the flowers, fauna, blue skies, and forests of the Adirondacks. Chris uses locally sourced wood and different items to create unique designs to bring the Adirondacks to your home. You will also find Bob’s woodworking art, inspired by the Adirondack vistas and the many animals which call this place home. Whether you fancy a birdhouse or custom display for Chris’s art, you will be inspired by Bob’s custom creations.
The Folk Embroidery Collection features intricate folk designs and motifs which are carefully curated from various countries such as Romania, the Balkans, Greece, and the Caucuses. These design templates have been preserved for thousands of years, and their unique patterns help to identify their origins. Chris creates unique embroidered pieces of wearable art as well as enduring pieces for the home. Her pieces make thoughtful gifts for the hostess, new homeowner, the bride or new baby. Be sure to check out the Seasonal Selections for great gift ideas for yourself or others.

Responsible
Every piece of art has a history — from the relationship with the artisan, to the life of the wearer. We design each of our collections with the intention of creating pieces that can be passed down through generations, with minimal waste and minimal carbon footprint. Each piece of art is created by Bob and Chris, and as often as possible, using items from the Adirondacks, NY. When required, they work with partners who are aligned with their ethos.
